18 deranged runners braved the rain last Friday to go on Jude's "A Bridge Too Far!" run. We ran over various sized bridges shouting "Bridge!" as we did so. Well done to Jude for another excellently organised run and for the goody bags, which included a bridge roll!
Three members from Valley Hill Runners enjoyed an evening session at the National Cycling Centre (Manchester Velodrome)on friday nihgt. It is Britain's first indoor olympic cycling track & is regarded as one of the world's finest. A one hour session gives you a great workout & a unique & exhilarating experience. It provided us with a great form of cross training.
All three members had a great evening, especially the chips/pint on the way home in Glossop !!
Well done to Ian G, Ian D, Chis, Amanda, Jim and Mark for their efforts in the sheffield half marathon - looked a bit hot from where i was standing. i have photos to put on here as soon as i figure out how to do that!!
Thanks to Jude for organising the first of 3 trig point runs. When I turned up I wondered what was happening with so many runners on one night! It was a good run and the top of the hill left me with calves of steel! The saw dust piles and pink arrows were great and kept me smiling all the way round.
